Nice to see an article promoting Noah's Wish and their great work! I did however notice a few things.
Daily News Kamloops, Aug.13, 2003 - ” What made this disaster a little different from others, she said, was the fact that most of the animals were brought in by evacuees who needed assistance caring for their critters.” (Terri Crisp, Noah’s Wish)
Daily News Kamloops, Aug.11, 2003 - ” Gore said at the peak of the wildfire crisis there were more than 1,200 animals in the SPCA’s care, whether it was at the Eighth Street shelter, the temporary livestock shelter at the KXA or in foster homes. A majority of those animals, Gore said, were not brought in by their families, surprisingly.”
Kelowna Capital News – Pets left behind in wake of fires -August 8/03
Daily News Kamloops, August 13, 2003 - “This time we haven’t seen many left behind,” (Terri Crisp)
”Many of the pets were left behind by residents who were given one-hour evacuation notices.” (Interview with BCSPCA regional manager Bob Busch)
COMMENT:It certainly doesn't sound to me like these people were at the same place at the same time and yet they were. I believe Terri Crisp.
She also had ample opportunity to ask for donations for Noah’s Wish, however I noticed she didn’t.
