There was never any confidence in the decision makers of the BC SPCA, even from its own front line staff!
In Response To: Mad scientists and the SPCA ()

The first CAC in Victoria worked very hard to create programs to attract volunteers and enlist reliable and knowledgeable people to provide much-needed “resources” for the animals because we all believed in what the BC SPCA stood for. In turn, numerous volunteers came forward to assist the animals. Then, because of hostile staff, unstable upper management and the introduction of CAMP, most of these knowledgeable volunteers were chased away.

CAMP was the final straw for many volunteers, including myself. When I told the then branch manager of my decision to resign, this was her response – “If everyone leaves then head office will have a free-for-all and the dogs won't stand a chance”. There was never any confidence in the decision makers of the BC SPCA, even from its own front line staff!

In closing, I am sure others can make this same statement as I - all three of my dogs would be considered to be red/orange zone dogs under CAMP - either for behavioral or medical “problems”, and yet all three dogs can go out in public without a problem – so much for the BC SPCA’s “scientific” assessment tool.
