Bear is a dear old cross breed who has been kept in this pen up North, all year round for many years. He has an unheated garden shed to sleep in. Recently a Good Samaritan noticed Bear and began to feed and water him and take him for walks. She has taken him to her vet to have a geriatric panel done to see if he has any health problems that must be seen to and she has been told by Bear's owner that she can find a home for Bear.

Once again – thank you all for bringing Bear into our lives and home! I’m having a hard time holding back the tears! Tears of joy for my new son and new found friends – Shiloh, Mike and Donna, and tears of sadness – I wish I could have been there 12 years ago for him and given him everything a puppy and dog needs and deserves. However, we cannot change the past but I promise to make his present and future the best I possibly can.
