Hey Cheech!

We are so glad to hear that you are OK and happier still knowing that you are in a wonderful place! What is it like to be "part of a family"? Many of us back here at the dog dump have never had that experience. It sounds awesome! Please write to us again and tell us more about the fun things you get to do when you live with a family.

It must feel very strange to live in a house, not a cage. You will get used to it and before you know it, you won't even be thinking about the horrible way you were treated by The Wardens. Try to forgive them if you can, because most of them don't know very much about how dogs like us feel or behave. They don't know that just like people, we have feelings too! We get scared, lonely, confused and very sad when people looking for a dog to take home to live with them pass us by.

The scariest time of all is when The Wardens come to take one or more of us away. We know then that we are never going to see our friends again and that our life may soon be over. None of us understand how someone decides which of us must go and which of us are allowed to stay, at least for a little while longer.

Thanks to some wonderful people, you are free,safe and loved. We miss you Cheech but at the same time we are so very happy for you too!!! Don't forget to write! Wish we were there.....................................
