Animal Advocates Watchdog

Update from Cheech's foster mom: July 11, 2004

Cheech is doing extremely well. He is a gentle yet goofy puppy. He has
learned to sit and stay until given a release to eat his food and allows me
to scratch his nose and muzzle while eating. I also stick my hand in the
food dish and play with his food. Cheech loves to chase tennis balls and
frisbees, run in the backyard and visit through the fence with the dog next
door. After a busy playtime he collapses in the armchair and watches TV or
naps for a while.

Cheech had a run in with a nasty little dog the other day. The little dog
(knee high on Cheech) became very aggressive and charged, teeth bared,
snarling and snapping. Cheech was confused and frightened. He ran away from
that mean dog as fast as he could. His feelings were hurt and he needed a
back scratch and hug to recover.

Cheech adores my husband and son! He listens and responds to their requests
eagerly and loves to keep them hopping by getting his favorite tennis ball
stuck under the couch or chair. Of course they have to retrieve it for him
which he thinks is great fun. He loves it when they rub his floppy ears or
scratch his back.

Cheech is an absolute joy to have in our home. Thanks everyone for believing
in him.
