Yikes - the nerve!....they don't even spay or neuter all their own animals!

SPCA Shelters Desperately Seek Homes for Kittens and Cats
July 21, 2004. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE. The BC SPCA is urgently appealing to anyone who can provide a good home for a cat or kitten to please visit their local SPCA shelter or to go the SPCA's website at www.spca.bc.ca to view animals available for adoption online.

"In many of our branches the cat rooms and our foster homes are overflowing with both adults cats and kittens and we are desperately seeking loving homes for cats of every age, breed and personality," says Lorie Chortyk, General Manager of Community Relations for the BC SPCA. Chortyk said summer is traditionally one of the busiest times of the year for the SPCA. "The number of cats and other animals being abandoned or brought to shelters is overwhelming this time of year," says Chortyk. "These animals are wonderful companions and really deserve to be part of a good family.

She said the SPCA encourages anyone thinking of bringing a new pet into their home to please visit their local SPCA shelter soon. The SPCA also strongly urges every animal guardian to spay or neuter their pet to prevent the litters of surplus kittens and puppies who are left at shelters every spring and summer.
