Here's what I see in the future.

The SPCA will scale down to a few shelters, maybe those state of the art shelters we've heard so much about.

The SPCA will continue to do investigations. Some may be publicized in a timely manner in an effort to maximize on donations.

The SPCA will use their highly paid spin doctors and fundraising administrators to maximize on their highly recognized profile and pull in millions of dollars in legacies and donations.

Meanwhile, smaller rescue groups will eventually be doing most of the work throughout the province without assistance financial or otherwise from the SPCA.

Over time we will see the SPCA doing less and less in the way of education, spay/neuter promotion, providing emergency veterinary care. It appears they've already ceased doing the above in some areas in the province.
