Last March, a Dalmatian who had been severely beaten and possibly thrown in the Fraser River, was found and taken to the Delta SPCA. The SPCA saw a money-making story and pulled out all the media stops, milking it for all it was worth.

It was worth at least $6,000, raised by animal loving volunteers and given by animal lovers all over the province, but especially those in Delta.
