Dearest AAS Volunteers:

I am emotionally shaken as I go through your pictures.I too have seen many abused animals over the years and have been heartbroken with the abuse and total disregard for their welfare.

Once while living in a small community in BC, my husband and I went to the local dump and found a barely conscious mother dog (you could tell by her teats) she had been shot but was alive in 40 degree heat. My husband was outraged and tried to get her up but she was almost gone. She made soft pleading sounds for help. My husband had to borrow a rifle from a rancher to put her down.

To this day,it brings tears to my eyes and rage in my soul. Why others do not see that an animals suffering is as ours I will never know. I do not know how anyone can live with the pain. I do not have alot of money but I have a home and love. PLease let me know if I can help in ANY way.
