Animal Advocates Watchdog

If the BCSPCA carries on in this way there will not be much left to save in the very near future!

I find it ridiculous that the SPCA is once more wasting money on high priced lawyers, to file a defamation suit against AAS. This will cost the SPCA hundreds of thousands of dollars of DONATED money which has been given in good faith by people, to help the animals, not for this kind of activity.

The Board of Directors needs to review this very carefully as, in my opinion, this type of action will only hurt the SPCA even more! They need to put a stop to this nonsense NOW and start towards making the BCSPCA open and accountable.

Above all they need to talk honestly with the critics, members, volunteers, rescue groups etc., and demonstrate that there is a sincere desire to resolve the numerous issues that so many people have with the SPCA. E.g. DTA4, CAMP, etc.

The SPCA & BoD needs to realise that never before have so many people from all different groups and areas of British Columbia come together to speak out and call for changes to be made for the sake of the animals. So many are now willing to stand firm until something is done.

I urge the CEO and the Board of Directors to stop and think about what they are doing. In my opinion this can still be turned around, but time is running out. If the BCSPCA carries on in this way there will not be much left to save in the very near future!
