Thank God humans did the right thing for once! The Vancouver Aquarium has paid $100,000Cad out of their own pockets to bring Springer home, while the US Govt paid $200,000US for their portion of the rescue. Our Govt won't chip in, so the Aquarium is asking for public donations. I certainly don't condone or like any aquarium, or what it stands for, but I think if the public shows them how grateful and happy we are that they actually helped this beautiful creature return to the wild, it may encourage the aquarium to re-think their captive animal programs.I will be donating money, and if anyone else feels compelled to do so, the number is 1-800-663-0562.
