I will always be grateful to Judy Stone and AAS. I found AAS when I was at the end of my rope trying to rescue dogs and puppies in Bella Bella, BC. The SPCA wouldn't help and I had no where and no one to turn to, so I took a chance that this animal welfare group called AAS would help. Thank heavens I did find and call Judy. Not only did she give me some basic dog medical advice, but she told me to send out dogs and pups that were strong enough for the flight, and the rest as we nursed them to health. Some dogs (and pups) were emergencies that had to be flown out immediately, some never made it out, and then there were the very lucky ones that made it to the saftey of AAS foster homes. Judy herself did most of the hands on work once the dogs got to her end, which is a miracle in itself as she is so over loaded with the day to day work of welfare legislation, puppy mill investigation, documentation of chained dogs (and their subsequent rescue) and trying to force the SPCA to be honest about their practices. Add to this list being the recipient of SPCA bullying and the constant lawsuits the SPCA uses to try to keep AAS quiet. The SPCA's agenda is murky at best and barbaric at worst. The SPCA is a sham, pure and simple. The only prevention of cruelty that occurs is when their hand is forced and then the animal in question is often lost in the system. It certainly isn't an open system, which is what I've had the misfortune of learning first hand.

Judy, I wish there were words to thank you for what you've done for me. The time, energy, emotional strain, advice, persistence and the large vet bills - all this you dove into, which saved my sanity over and over, at the cost of yours, I'm sure. I will always support you, your word and your work. You are one of the few people that I trust implicitly and know that you care about nothing but the animals that you see and especially the ones that you don't see. Your standards are impeccable.

Too bad that the SPCA can not join Judy in her quest
