In April 2004, Mr. Daniel noted that I have done much to improve the lives of animals in BC and yet in September 2004, notification comes that I am being sued by the SPCA.
What transpired between April and September for such a dramatic turn of events? Was it the request for facts around the death of six dogs in Surrey or was it the filing of a formal complaint against the SPCA Board of Directors and Mr. Daniell with the Ethics Committee?
Below is an excerpt from an e-mail Mr. Daniel sent me on April 15th, 2004.
Hello Gail:
Thank you for your email.
"I will meet with you because I am aware that you personally have done much to improve the lives of animals in BC. I may not agree with everything you have done, but I respect what you have accomplished".

I can only surmise that going from being respected for what I have accomplished to being sued for defamation is a direct result of advocating on behalf of six dogs who no longer live on this earth but continue to live on in my heart.
