Animal Advocates Watchdog

Re: Globe and Mail: SPCA sues B.C. animal advocates' group for alleged defamation in Web postings

To readers of "The Watchdog" and supporters of
AAS. Now is the time to stand up for our rights and freedoms that so many of us have let slip away by those organizations and government officials that have allowed our rights to be erroded away.

AAS is the voice for those of us who are afraid to stand up in public and voice our opinions. We as Canadians can not and should not let the BCSPCA dictate to us through the use of the courts to "shut down this website", for if we let them do this, then there goes our "Freedom of Speech" and rights to express them in a public form.

The World Wide Web is a medium that should not be dictated to just because an organization feels it has allowed another organization to voice its opinions in a public form. And that because they disagree with its content, it should give them the right to shut it down. I say wake up British Columbians, let's stand up for Freedom.

And let's support the AAS in this fight. I know that I will and and so will "The BC and Interior Dog Breeder's Association".

Signed,
Wayne Barron,President
