The SPCA and Forgotten Felines: What a difference!

Last year, I went to the Cowichan SPCA specifically to adopt an old, needy cat.
I adopted Elliot, who was approximately 13 years old.
Staff told me he had been suffering from an upper resporatory infection and was depressed - not eating.
I asked what the vet had said, and they replied that they had no vet.
When I brought him home, he required urgent dental surgery, after which his health began to improve immediately.
My dear friend Elliot died recently, and I decided to adopt another old cat, this time from Forgotten Felines.
Because I live on Saltspring Island, Penny March graciously met my friend and I at the ferry terminal, and I have now adopted Henry, who is approximately 18 years old.
The difference?
Henry had been to the vet. He had all necessary medical work done. When I called Penny to confirm our meeting, she was taking Henry to the clinic to have his teeth cleaned.
Why on earth are the SPCA raiding Forgotten Felines? They could be learning so much from them
about true animal welfare.
Bravo, Penny!
