Nailed! For 20 years of cheap animal disposal

In her presentation, Reichert said many of the cats at her shelter were rescues from the Richmond SPCA, which, she said chooses the cheaper option of euthanasia over more expensive medical or behaviour treatment for many of its animals.

Reichert is just one of hundreds of real animal welfarists who question the SPCA's policies and actions. Reichert has nailed the SPCA for running a pet disposal business in Richmond for 20 years. What the SPCA was doing in Richmond, was NOT animal welfare, and it will continue to lose contracts unless and until it stops running its animal disposal businesses and starts doing what it is mandated to do - animal welfare! 21st Century animal-lovers and city councils are not going to put up with the SPCA's 19th Century version of animal control.
