I am a 15 year who lives in surrey. I understand everyone's upset with the spca for many different reasons. I am not taking anyone's side, but isnt it easier for you, animal advocates,to have some one other than you trying to adopt animals to different homes? from the way people post their responses, its sounds like they want the spca to close... if they did, then it would be up to you and few other shelters to try and rescue ALL the dogs in BC. I adopted my dog from the surrey spca, he was then a 2 year old polish tatra sheepdog, and we love him soooo much. are you wanting to deprive dogs from getting love? Sure the spca, may not be the best organization in the buisness, but, shouldn't we credit them? I will give you an example; jimmy was a terrier mix, and he was a senior, kept at the surrey spca. he was there for more then a month. his teeth were decayed, so it looked like he had none at all, the spca, then transfered jimmy to the victoria spca, there he got adopted. i used to visit him all the time when he was there, and i was so happy that the spca could find a home for him. Do not get me wrong, i am upset with the spca for putting down many of my favorite dogs. for example. lolo, an irish wolfhound, maximus (god rest his soul), rottweiler, misty, tyler, george, WHO I ADORED, he was so hyper when i went to visit him, and soooo cute. I am just saying that why do people spend time writing about "this" and "that" about the spca, when the people could be out there doing something about it. and why do people put the spca down, when the person (not true for everyone) but they couldnt compare. Why complain, go do something. Oh and another thing, the victoria spca does not not accept injured animals, go on their website to find more about daisy, hailey, and another german shepherd. I think though, that your work AAS is FANTASTIC!!!! I did a school project on your organization because i think that you do so much for the animals! thank you for listening, Marisa
