Yesterday, October 20, the bill received third reading in the BC Legislature and now only requires Royal Assent before becoming Law.

As I understand it, this Bill will require that money or property donated to a charity, including the BCSPCA, which is given for a specific purpose MUST be used for that stated purpose and NO other.

It will, of course, be necessary to be quite clear what specific purpose is intended. For example if money is given for "spay and neuter" that would almost certainly work whereas money given for "animal welfare" would probably not.
