Our entire family enjoys the wide variety of Animal Planet shows. However, every episode of "That's My Baby" we've watched has appalled us. The reason is that the animals are never allowed to just birth and care for their newborns.

We haven't seen a single episode where the humans kept their hands off the babies - pulling them from their mothers, cleaning them, aspirating them, weighing them, sonograms, etc. We've never interferred with our animals' birthing. We watch in awe and make sure the mom's have everything they need to do their job.

I understand the occasional/rare need to help, but every single time???

Can someone please explain the human interference? Is anyone else bothered by this?
