Animal Advocates Watchdog

My Christmas wish list this year to the SPCA...

...is for the SPCA to truly feel concern for the animals they have in their care. I hope they stop all this needless killing of animals so that volunteers don't go in, with their hearts in their throats, hoping one of the animals they have helped, watched and loved is still there, or only adopted into kind homes.

My hope is that the SPCA is putting all their donation money into rehabilitating dogs they think need help, instead of killing them.

And I hope they start to put their donation dollars into making the conditions more liveable for the animals that are in their shelters.

I hope they begin spay and neuter clinics and make sure that EVERY single animal that ever leaves their shelter in any SPCA in B.C. is fixed.

I hope that the SPCA starts to understand their desperate need to be proactive and to start shutting down all the backyard breeders, where sometimes dogs are being bred in unkindly conditions, and where people are collecting money, tax free and are often sending puppies off to god knows where.

SPCA could just start with some of those wishes.
