The Vancouver Sun, on 24 July 2002, carried an editorial praising the BCSPCA and Air Canada for working together to transport animals within the province. The Sun editorial went further than this "feel good" story, though; it advocated spay/neuter and breeding licenses. A short quote:

"With no-kill initiatives being tested, it's crucial that all municipalities across the province do their part and introduce mandatory spay and neutering regulations, and a licensing system for pet breeders."
