AAS has not ever said - anywhere - that we like what is happening......but we see what is happening, and we see why, and we are afraid of what may be coming. AAS has never advocated the death of any dog that is here already, but we do advocate that dogs doomed to suffer not be bred.

We'd stop the killing of unwanted or dangerous dogs if we could, but only the SPCA can take the steps to get controls on breeding and only legislators can choose the type of laws, and all AAS's pleas to control breeding and prohibit yard dogs have been ignored by municipalities and the SPCA.
