This is Bean. This boxer was hit by a car. Boxer Rescue had to make a decision - amputate his leg or save it. He is a young boxer, under two. His leg and hip were shattered and it took four hours of surgery to repair. He ended up with a secondary skin infection, a bad one due to road rash. and had to have some surgery to help that heal as well. He has a plate in his hip and pins in his leg and hip. Some of the pins have dislodged themselves. He may need more surgery we don't know yet. Every two weeks he needs updated x-rays as well. So far Bean's medial bill has been about $3000. He is alive and still has four legs and a foster Mom who loves him with her every breath. That's what rescue is about, saving the ones no one else will.
