So you are upset about the cat. Well do something about it. Spread the word. Print a few copies of the Watchdog News and give them out to people. I have four cats and am a regular visitor to our local vet (various health issues)there is always someone at the clinic waiting to see the vet. If a person has taken the time to take their loved animal to the vet, then they care, and people love to talk about their pets. Give them a copy of the Watchdog News. I did that this morning, and have done that each time I go. Even if they don't have a computer to go on AAS web-site they can become more knowlegeable about what is happening in this world regarding discarded pets, over breeding, puppy/kitten mills, neglect and abuse A lot of people are un-informed, and think that as a nation of pet-lovers, most pets are well looked after, well fed, and treated kindly. The stories on the news or in the newsapers, don't usually tell the whole story, are generally shocking for the minute, but then forgotten, as the next piece of "news" hits. If you were to ask the general public "Who is Cheech?" Only an animal lover might remember, and I stress might. Cheech is last year's news. But his story goes on, as does the everyday story of other rescues by various volunteer animal rescue groups. And all without publicity. Spread the word, support, donate, hand out the Watchdog News. Every little bit of help is wonderful for the animals. My vet Dr. Martin Rebelle, told me today, that animals are being found out here in the "boonies" Mission, that pets, who are no longer wanted from the city, are being dumped out here.
