Everyone can understand how this "sport" is cruel to foxes, and even that the horses suffer from broken legs etc, but no one ever writes about the inhumanity visited on the dogs too.

The dogs are kept in kennels all year and are only let out to hunt. That is despicable. The fox's suffering is brief but a dog can suffer for many years.

This sport is not just one for the upper classes either. It was really a farmer's way to get rid of foxes that mauraded the hen-houses. Farmers are some of the cruelest people on earth.
