I just read the stories of these women and dogs. What awesome women!! Thank you so much all of you, for doing what you have done, for the dog's sake. I know no greater hero than you women! May God Bless you and the lives of the animals saved.

We get letters all the time from all over North America, thanking us for telling how women - all over North America - are forced to steal dogs because the law is so far behind public sentiment and will do nothing for chained dogs. And so the women who daily witness this heartbreaking cruelty are forced to risk their very lives to do the right thing.
Why is the law so far behind what the public wants for chained dogs? We think it is because animal law enforcers are not telling legislators that there is a problem that needs addressing. In BC that is primarily the BC SPCA. AAS still receives many reports of dogs being kept in severely cruel conditions, and in every case the SPCA has been told and has done nothing.
