Benjamin Middleton was schooled at home by his parents up until he attended
Windsor House school where he was an active member of the school community.
He participated regularly in community extra curricular events, including
fundraisers, school board meetings, philosophy meetings, and was always a
positive influence and leader at the school. In his 1st year he was on the
ombudsman committee, and during his 2nd year he was elected High School
Chairperson. In his 3rd year he went on to pioneer a theatre, film and
communications after school program. As well as participating in this
program he ran all the aspects of its administration including hiring
teachers, promoting among students and filling spaces, polling students and
selecting which courses would be taught, leading fundraising efforts and
conducting payroll.

Upon leaving Windsor House Benjamin took a position at Canada Internet
Direct (at the age of 16) where he worked his way from Technical Support
Representative, to LAN administrator & PC maintenance technician, to his
final position of being call center supervisor.

Benjamin left Internet Direct to pursue an acting career - studying at
Gastown Actors Studio. During this time he worked as a private computer
consultant and for one summer took over as chief caregiver at Middleton's
Family Daycare. He was accepted into Langara Colleges theatre program
"Studio 58" (Canada's 2nd most prestigious theatre program at the time)
However he only lasted one term in this highly competitive program (the
school auditions approximately 300 students for 16 position of which they
typically graduate only 25%)

Benjamin did extensive volunteer work with Landmark Education, an adult
education company offering personal development courses of various types
from 1998 - 2002

In 2002 Benjamin moved to Toronto to attend Ryerson Polytechnic University's
CE film program.

Benjamin is now working as in an entry level position in the film industry
in Toronto while pursuing his own filmmaking ambitions in his spare time.
