It's truly amazing how the Department of Fisheries and Oceans in Victoria are keen to protect the lives of the seals on the Pacific Coast, but on the other hand are very keen in slaughtering them out on the Atlantic Coast of Labrador and Newfoundland.

Granted, on the Pacific Coast they haven't decimated the Salmon as they did the Cod, not yet, but when it does happen, when the sea lice that has already decimated the Pink and will probably destroy the rest of the salmon species, the DFO will be looking for a scapegoat, and they'll blame it all on the seals.

I don't believe for a second that the DFO has the slightest bit of concern for the welfare of the seals in Victoria, or any other mammmal or fish for that matter. Because you see, it's all a matter of image for them. They're more than willing to stop people from feeding them because this makes them look wise and caring. It's also meant to avert your attention away from the massacre that's happening right now on the East Coast.

The DFO are pros at making you see only what they want you to see. Hypocrites of the highest order.
