We know that many "bred specific rescuers" are decent people who give their all and more for the dogs they rescue, but with few exceptions, they will not spend a nickle on any dog that isn't one of "their" breed. That is not different from breeders who will only spend money on "their" breed.
But there is a greater concern about pure bred rescuers and that is that they often act as agents for bad breeders by taking the cast-offs and keeping quiet. That is what the SPCA did for at least 50 years. That is being a "partner in crime".
