I fail to see what Ms. Chortyk is so upset about. There is nothing misleading about the Cloverdale Rodeo and Exhibition Association's statement. Does the BC SPCA really expect us to believe that its history of lack of action against rodeo means that it DOESN'T approve of rodeo? Has it never heard the old saying that if one is not part of the solution it is part of the problem?

I didn't see anyone from the SPCA at last year's meeting of Surrey Council when the issue of the Cloverdale Rodeo was discussed. Animal Advocates made a presentation to council. Where was the SPCA?

Please put your money where your mouth is Ms. Chortyk. Did the SPCA lobby Surrey council against the Cloverdale Rodeo this year? Did it make a presentation to council? If it did, please send AAS a copy and we will be happy to post it on the messageboard.
