Does anyone know about the rumour of a working relationship between the Vancouver Pound and the SPCA?
It is my understanding that the Vanc. Pound staff are going to be sent to the SPCA to learn how to assess dogs.
The SPCA has a colour code program - I am not sure of all the details but a green card is good and a red/orange are bad. When a dog gets a bad colour it is a potential candidate for elimination.
So I guess the Vanc. Pound can get rid of the problem dogs by sending them to the SPCA or vice versa?
In a meeting with the new Manager's supervisor she continually made reference to some Big Deal going to happen soon in conjunction with the SPCA
could this be it.
If so, I could not/would not support the Vancouver Pound anymore.
If this becomes reality it will be a very black day for No Kill.
