AUGUST 2002 - AFTER YEARS OF BEGGING THE BC SPCA TO HELP THE DOGS CHAINED TO TREES BY A RECLUSE AT TOPAZ CREEK, BC, CRESTON PAWS SOCIETY RESCUED THE DOGS THEMSELVES...

The media, especially BCTV/Global (good old friends of the SPCA) gave credit for the rescue to the SPCA, the very agency that for years would not help these dogs (and the many cats so sick they all had to be euthanized), and the very agency that incurred no expenses whatsoever, but which then got the donations sent by shocked, outraged, warm-hearted, and fooled, donators:
