I just heard on local Kelowna radio news that crown council will prosecute Gaston Lapointe, owner of the husky crosses siezed by Kelowna SPCA, for neglect and causing animals to be in distress. Let's hope this case sets a precedent for cruelty cases in BC. Let's hope Lapointe is given an appropriate sentence, not just a slap on the wrist. I'll watch Okanagan CHBC news tonight, Global may pick up the story too.
