When I was 13 (that's 12 years ago) we went to Greece and we were SHOCKED by the amount of stray cats and dogs! Tons of them would come to the different campgrounds because the tourists felt sorry for them and most of them went to a store to get food for them. So did we. We ended up adopting a cat and brought it back to Switzerland (I'm Swiss, moved to Canada about a year ago).
