After reading Tamaras post further down the board, I contacted her and together with her and her friend Morgan we decided to start a new rescue group yesterday. Our name: S.A.R.A., this stands for Small Animal and Reptile Advocates. One of our goal is to make people (and especially pet stores as well) aware that although they are small, they have special needs too and it's not acceptable that e.g. there are 15 or more guinea pigs in a tiny aquarium. We also plan on doing adoptions.

Anyway, we need your help. First of all we need advice what we have to consider to get our rescue officially started. What are the legalities? Do you have any good adoption application we could look at so that we get some ideas? Would you be willing to activly take part of S.A.R.A by e.g. going to petstores and take pictures in case the small animals aren't housed properly, doing research on the internet, fostering little ones etc. etc. etc.
