I would like to know how people feel about rescuing chained dogs that the SPCA will not help. Do you feel this is the right thing to do, if all other efforts to help the dog have failed???? I lost all respect for the SPCA, and find that owners who chain their dogs generally do not change with education, and still leave their dogs in misery. I am happy that the dog I tried to help is rescued and living the wonderful life it deserves now. In my case the system didn't work, so I believe that rescuing these animals is an excellent solution.
