So what if there was bad publicity, whether it was justified or not?
There is a saying from where I come from : "Are we going into the orchard to eat apples, or to beat up the grower?"
This is a prime example, where the end definitely does not justify the means. If there is bad publicity, an organization such as the SPCA should have learned by now how to deal with it in the public forum, without penalizing future humane treatment and development of animals under its care or subtely threatening the public, which is the least we should expect from such an organization. Unfortunately this level of maturity and professionalism is lost on the BCSPCA.
