Animal Advocates Watchdog

I saw Eileen Drever last night on TV showing a dog and a cat

The SPCA is everywhere these days. In the newspaper ads, on cable TV. I saw Eileen Drever last night on TV showing a dog and a cat, and the female host talking carelessly how the timing was great for adoption because Christmas was near and Drever saying nothing, absolutely nothing, about the wrongfulness of giving an animal as a Xmas gift, missing the very opportunity to educate the audience, (unbelievable). My impression is that the SPCA is in full swing for desperate fund-raising.

This new (but quite old actually) sugar-coated 'The Violence Link Project' is to me only the words and promises and I have to wonder how they can put their scarce resource yet into another new program when they barely have time to answer and address the calls and pleas for help from the general public.
