Maggie, dear 5 year-old beagle, abandoned at an SPCA. We don't know about her recall yet, but we do know that she is perfectly housetrained, is fine with cats, and dogs too, except that if a dog acts silly with her she gives one short, sharp, ggggrrrf! and waltzes away (she is in a multi-dog foster home) She is good with kids too. Beagles need a lot of free-run fun or they get fat. Beagles can be very long-lived, and Maggie might live another 10 - 15 years, so a commitment for that period is paramount.

Maggie is so easy-going and gentle, a very "easy" dog to have in the house. She is much less beagle-y than other beagles I've known. Still very food motivated, but not a thief. Not a single toilet accident. Maggie can startle easily at loud noises, but recovers within seconds when told, "its OK". She loves her name, responds right away to it, and loves to hear songs with her name in them! Wag, wag, wag. A very sweet dog.
