There should be a huge scandal coming down the pipeline when the SPCA is exposed

Dear Animal Advocates,

Today, a coworker has informed me that he heard on the radio this morning that the Provincial government is forcing the SPCA to comply
with the Freedom of Information Act. This means that the SPCA will have to disclose all documents and financials they have previously kept hidden behind their lawyers.

There should be a huge scandal coming down the pipeline when the SPCA is exposed for the secretive and bureaucratic organization that it is. I'm hoping that public outcry will force the SPCA to completely restructure itself and pratice what it preaches; thus, making the SPCA completely responsible and dedicated to animals.

Keep up the great work Animal Advocates! I appreciate all your efforts over the years to show the SPCA for what it really is.

Yours truly,
Stacy Hryhoruk

Note: No change has yet been made. The Special Legislative Review Committee recommended that the provincial government investigate the SPCA to see if its unique status should be clarified or changed.
