What a precedent-setting case this could be, and what a boost to animal welfare activists

Yay, Nicole of Teja's! Perhaps we could nominate Nicole for a 'Women Who Go To Court for Animals' Award.

What a precedent-setting case this could be, and what a boost to animal welfare activists. Win or lose, the very act of charging those who are neglecting their responsiblity when overseeing animals' well-being should force every other organization to be on their toes.

Yet how sad that it takes this woman's legal wrangling, let alone her massive energy and mounds of money to bring this issue to light and to shake up the system that is mandated -and paid - to do this job. I only wish I could believe that the defendants will at least feel shame at the end of this exercise. That's doubtful, as they don't seem to possess much human empathy and emotion when they can turn a blind eye and physically walk away from animals in such a wretched state.
