Unfair judgement

While cockfighting is cruel, the killing of those chickens following that Surrey raid by the RCMP and the SPCA was worse.

I am a Filipino, and for letter writers to say our lifestyle isn't welcome here is not fair.

There are a lot of worse things than animal versus animal cruelty. Why isn't anyone doing anything about them?

Abortions are far worse than cockfighting.

Then there is the "sport" of mixed martial arts, where two people brutally hurt each other to the point of major injury or even death, while spectators bet on the result.

Cockfighting is just an extension of nature for these chickens.

If you put two wild males together, they will fight to the death. Even tame chickens will fight because their natural instinct is to show to each other "who is the better chicken."

Filipinos are only gambling on which chicken will survive.

Yes, cockfighting is wrong. But punishing all the chickens by killing them all, and then judging us and our lifestyle and telling us we're not welcome in this country is unfair.
