What if..... *LINK*

Yes, although I am not very clear sometimes, you've pegged me right...I do agree with you on Most things. What if, instead of a ban, that the volunteers adopting out the dog, offered a weekly class on how to take care of your Pit bull, or how about home visitation, instead of the SPCA making us think like us to think they do, DO IT. What if, we could somehow make breeders that are registered, stop breeding for a couple of years or so, so that we could control the Pit Bull population? (probably unrealistic, still...) There are so many What if's that it's pretty odd we take the fastest and easiest way out, dont you think? I'm not trying to take the "slippery slope" (although I'm not sure what that means) method out, I'm trying to provide new points of view to others, TRY being the main word. And it kills me to think that people think the "non-slippery slope" is to start a Breed Ban. I will leave you with an interesting piece below though, If anyone's interested in reading it, but isn't it odd that pit bulls have been popular with the media, while this is unheard of but very common?

Dr Moe Milstein: Will a ban on pit bulls solve our dangerous dog problem?
It's a Start - the SPCA has a policy of destroying alleged wolf-dog crosses because of the danger they pose. Why don't they have a similar policy on the fighting breeds?
The guy was in his twenties, the dog was a CANE CORSO
Two-pronged legislation is needed

Re: If you really love pit bulls.....
I believe that you are attempting to make the "slippery slope" argument

Voluntary reductions in breeding have not worked
Perhaps of no surprise is that the mother of Shenica White is supportive of my effort for a ban on these breeds
I have a $700 vet bill that I am currently fighting a Golden Retriever's owner to help me pay
