The dogs was chained?
The dogs had pups?
Of course it attacked.
Citizens of Salt Spring Island, and every other place in BC - demand anti-yard dog laws. Unless it has attacked before, not under these circumstances, this Pit Bull may or may not have been inherently dangerous. But we can be certain of this - all yard dogs are high risk dogs. There are decades of statistical proof of this; it is not rocket science.
But cowardly, craven politicians do not want to upset a large number of their potential voters by banning the keeping of dogs in yards 24/7.
And the BC SPCA is not taking this campaign on either. How can it when it has so many contracts to kill dogs that bite?
