These stories just break my heart.

Someone asks to adopt a dog, has a photo taken of herself with the dog, and two days later the dog is put down anyway (for reasons of fear and anxiety!), unbeknownst to her. And then to use the same photo in a request for donations to save animals absolutely takes the cake.

How profoundly and tragically ironic.
