I gave up on the SPCA after volunteering at one of the branches in the Vancouver region (I am using my maiden name, I don't want to ever speak to anyone at the SPCA again) where I was treated like I was only in the way when I wanted to do too much for the animals I was told. Now I volunteer at a cat shelter not run by the SPCA and the difference in the attitude to the animals tells quite the story! Nothing is "too much"!!

I am in touch with a lot of rescuers both cats and dogs, and I talk to the general public and at work and where I walk my dog and I can tell you that Judy Stone seems to be the only one who still thinks the SPCA can be saved and will do anything really honestly for animals. the public is disgusted with their antics!
