I have read this thread and the positives which AAS sees from the report. I felt the need to post accuracies regarding some of AAS comments. First of all if time would be taken to get correct facts it would be found that, yes the Victoria SPCA has its door open to the public until 5:30p.m., but there is an oncall staff member who is at the shelter until 12midnight everynight. Unless they need to go out an a call someone is at the shelter until this hour every night.
As a dedicated volunteer at the Victoria SPCA I feel the need to again inform you of the correct facts. Every night our dog walking program runs from 6pm until 8-9 pm. This means that on top of a staff member being at the shelter until midnight there are always a group of volunteers with the dogs until at least 8 pm everynight.
You probably do not want to hear the correct facts because that seems to be the reoccuring trend found on this messageboard, but I felt the need to post it.
