It is true the dog walking program runs from 6-8pm every night. Sometimes they are done earlier and sometimes later. I started the late walking program with Valerie Lykkemark the volunteer coordinator at the time.

The night person is in the building until 12am but basically never goes into the dog area on their shift in order to prevent the dogs from starting to bark. (The Victoria shelter has serious legal problems with barking complaints.)

The dogs are alone from 8pm to about 8am. About twelve hours anyway.
