All product has to be disposed of once it is no longer wanted for any reason

Almost all animals that are bred for the pet market are helpless prisoners kept for human amusement. Rabbits and small prey creatures, birds, rodents, reptiles, fish, and bats are only some of the wildly profitable caged-pets market's product.

All product has to be disposed of once it is no longer wanted for any reason. Breeding, selling, and owning is only the start of the money-making treadmill for billions of the helpless.

Disposal of pets is the other end of the treadmill. Some pets are resold, but in the last decade, most have been reshuffled by rescue and animal welfare organizations. There is something in it for them too, for varying reasons.

Some keep the treadmill going out of pure compassion which they pay for out of their own pockets. Some get paid in glory. Some actually make a business out of it. Almost none of them say that it is immoral to keep animals in cages.
