In Response To: Richmond Pet Store bylaw not as wonderful as claimed http://www.animaladvocates.com/cgi-bin/admin.pl/read/2429
My name is Calli Jensen I am the former Manager of the fish and reptile department at Super Pet.
I was present at the city councill meeting and spoke on super pets behalf and voiced my opinion on the concerns alot of people have in regards to our scaley little friends.
I no longer work at a pet store but am very much still involved with the animal industry as I own my own fishtank business going to businesses and homes and setting up aquariums for people to enjoy.
One of the major concerns I have as an animal lover no matter what the breed, is the fact that they don't allow you to adopt animals from the reptile refuge they are there until they die don't these animals deserve to have people care for them ? (people that love them)by choice?
This is something that has bothered me for a very long time and something that will be constantly questioned by me and many other people. The reptile refuge say they are there to help but are they when many of these animals could have homes so whats the problem with that?
I am in the process of designing a business plan to open my own animal adoption agency to allow these animals to have a second chance for a better life that they deserve.
